Taking Charge of Your Fertility

Taking charge of your fertility fertility is something you need to do early. When you begin to think about starting a family, see your doctor and let her know your plans.

Even if you know you are fertile, it is important to stay alert about your body.

I received a letter just this week from a couple who has been trying to get pregnant for over ten years. They have waited far to long to seek help. There chances of an old fashioned pregnancy are greatly reduced. Had they dealt with their fertility problem in their thirties, their chances of attaining pregnancy would be much higher.

The ability to get pregnant diminishes rapidly after the age of 35 (for a woman.) If you are not using birth control and you have not conceived within six months, it is time to notify your doctor. Infertility may not be diagnosed at that early stage, but your doctor may order some tests.

Don't wait several years before asking your physician about infertility.

Throughout this website there are many suggestions--changes you can make to favor fertility. Read everything and begin some of the changes. Getting healthy --especially if you are diagnosed with unexplained infertility --is a great way to improve your odds of getting pregnant.
